What is a habit?

It is an act carried out on a daily basis and performed automatically without awareness. We all have habits that affect our overall well-being, thereby, habits affect our health.

What is lifestyle?

It is a way of life that reflects the attitudes and value of a person. This can be said that lifestyle is synonymous to habit, therefore

HABIT         =            LIFESTYLE           =            HEALTH

The illustration above means that the act that you carry out on a regular basis, becomes/or is a part of the attitudes and values of a person, thereby, ultimately affecting the state of well-being of a person.

Using myself as an example, I had a habit of impunctuality that led to a lifestyle of procrastination which had serious effects on important occasions of my life. This habit, which led to a terrible lifestyle, had a negative influence on my health (I had more stress-filled days that normal).

To bring all these 3 attribute to focus, there are habits that people living with health conditions (such as malaria, asthma, typhoid, hypertension etc.) should cultivate, (nourish, grow) and develop into a lifestyle that will improve the living condition of the person despite having health issues.

There are some essential nutritional additives that take care of the missing puzzle pieces in a diet. Boosting immunity to protect against disease is an important part of any person’s overall health and fitness. Everyone knows about vitamins A, C, and E, which are important, but are not the only letters in the alphabet.
